Courses and Workshops

Entering the Heart of Shiva is a course in 3 parts, 8 90-minute sessions each during winter, spring and fall 2026. Part 1 begins January 18.  The 3 parts can be taken individually in any sequence. “Entering the Heart” refers to the journey into the Heart of Consciousness within us all during meditation, which then allows access to our Center for all other practices, including mantra japa and the study and contemplation of the great teachings in such texts as Tantraloka and Tantrasara of Abhinavagupta. Registration: $399 for each section, reduced rate available. Sessions are Sundays at 1 PM Eastern US time. I am co-teaching EHS with two friends, Barbara and Tasha, longtime practitioners and experienced teachers of Neelakantha Meditation and of this course. Open to all – you do not need to be practicing Neelakantha Meditation. Write to me at Jayendra.hanley@gmail.com for more information.

March 7-8, 14-15: “Methodology & Co-Mentoring” Module online via Zoom. There are at least two wonderful things about this module. First, we get to just focus on teaching asana in the Anusara style, particularly, practicing all the skills that have proven to be effective when teaching the Universal Principles of Alignment. The second is the community feeling that arises when learning effective ways to share our observations when attending each other’s classes. Registration rate: $220 USD or Euros. Earlybird rate if paid before February 15: $195 USD or Euros. Contact Jayendra at Jayendra.hanley@gmail.com.

April 28 – May 3, 2026: Samavesha Festival in San Francisco. So often, my friends and students share how much fun we all had when we used to get together regularly for live workshops and courses. Well, this is our next opportunity to experience the friendship, camaraderie, inspiration and learning together as a global community. I’ll be there, and I hope to see you there too!
